Am I Eligible? 1) Enroll for a minimum of 12 hours (full time)

2) Maintain a 2.3 GPA

3) Attach a copy of most recent high school or college transcript

4) Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for 2011-12 and have the results sent to Salt Lake Community College

5) Attach a 2-page typed essay (double spaced) describing your educational goals and why this scholarship is important to you. Also describe your Greek lineage and your activity in the Greek Orthodox Church. Please include the church-related organizations or groups you have participated in, and describe the capacity of your involvement.

Scholarship Description: The Daughters of Minos Scholarship is open to full-time students at Salt Lake Community College. Applicants must be Utah residents and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who are of Greek descent and active in the Greek Orthodox Church, with greater preference given to those of Cretan descent. Funds may be used for tuition, fees, and/or books.
