Scholarship Description: This scholarship was established to give recognition and financial assistance to deserving undergraduate students majoring in history, preferably a graduate of an accredited Kansas high school. The donors expressed the hope that recipients selected will be scholastically capable and of good moral character and social conduct, emphasizing that Professor Turner “did not approve of student sit-ins, mob-ins and destruction of property” and are not interested in seeing that such individuals are “financed by this fund.”

Application closing date: Deadlines to apply for the scholarship are 1 November 2012 and 1 February, 2013
