Scholarship Description: The family of the Reverend W. Irving Monroe, Jr. has established a scholarship to honor his memory and his ministry and to provide assistance for future ministers. A graduate of the Class of 1938 at Andover Newton Theological School, Reverend Monroe served Congregational and United Church of Christ congregations for more than 60 years. He also served as chaplain to several Massachusetts fire departments and to the Masons. This memorial scholarship is administered by the Trustees of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Master Masons of Massachusetts.
