Scholarship Description: The Richard J. Brett Memorial Scholarship was established in 1995 to honor the life and work of Mr. Brett, the speech correctionist at Waukeegan High School in Illinois for 49 years. Throughout his life, Mr. Brett enjoyed travel and believed strongly that travel experiences are an important component in the educational process. It is the purpose of this scholarship to assist worthy and deserving students by supporting study abroad experiences, thereby enriching their education.
